Reporting and Data Warehouse Developer

The company is seeking a skilled Report Developer and Programmer to participate in the entire life-cycle of product development. Key responsibilities of this position include the development of the reporting tier of our propriety application, using a combination of off-the-shelf tools and custom programming.

Short Summary:

  • Enterprise reporting and data warehouse development
  • Data modeling, star schema, data marts
  • Cognos, BusinessObjects, Informatica, Jasper, etc

Desired Experience:

  • 3-4+ years' experience in developing reports using tools like Crystal Reports, JasperSoft iReports, and Cognos ReportNet
  • Demonstrated knowledge of data mart design and development using star schemas
  • 3-4+ years' experience in database design and SQL
  • Experience with SQL, Tomcat, and UNIX
  • Familiarity with software development and testing best practices
  • Software lifecycle, in particular Agile lifecycle
  • Excellent knowledge of web applications and application servers, database design, web services, and XML technologies
  • Experience with high volume, distributed transactional systems
  • Experience with open source reporting tools such as Jasper or BIRT is a big plus
  • Familiarity with Business Objects or Cognos SDK is a plus
  • Strong written and oral communications skills are essential
